‘Since 2007 Jasyn Lucas has worked full time as a working artist, promoting the Indigenous ways of knowing through art expression. Through applied formal art and academic training , combined with an intense dedication to volunteerism, Jasyns Art legacy stands strong and fair amongst his professional peers.’

 

Jasyn’s original paintings are valued and appraised at 1.90 per sq inch.

Jasyn’s original paintings were last appraised professionally by the late Gary Sherbain.

 

Gary Sherbain was a Winnipeg resident, Reporter and teacher, social activist and gallery owner of the Wahsa gallery at the Forks Market in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. He has worked closely to promote some of Turtle Islands leading Indigenous artists, such as Daphne Odjig, Joe Sanchez, Carl Ray, Roy Thomas and others. Gary taught Jasyn of a fair approach to placing the retail value on his original art. Annually the value is raised by 5 percent until reappraisal in 2030. Thank you very much for your investment.

Jasyn has a high-school Diploma from R.D Parker Collegiate, Thompson Mb, as well as A studio Art Diploma from Capilano University in North Vancouver, where he studied printmaking, Sculpture, Drawing, Painting and Art History. Jasyn has also completed 3 years of a 4 year bachelor of Arts Degree from the UCN University College of the North, with studies focused on History and Indigenous Studies.
